My name is Jacqueline Sievert Hardt, I am aResearch Fellow with the YWCA of the Niagara Frontier, and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University at Buffalo. Previously I was an Assistant Professor at Bowling Green State University from 2016-2017 and an Assistant Professor at Western Carolina University from 2014-2016. I earned my PhD in Political Science at the University at Buffalo in 2014, my M.A. from Dartmouth College in 2009 and my B.A. from New York University in 2007. On this site you will find information on my research and teaching interests. My research focuses primarily on institutions and conflict in authoritarian states including explanations of judicial independence, information, and mobilization from a game-theoretic perspective. Additionally, my work focuses drawing causal inferences and making use of experimental methods.
